9 WEIRD THINGS YOUR BODY DOES THAT YOU NEVER KNEW WERE DEFENSE MECHANISMS

Bodies should be protected from all the germs and organisms. Our body has been fighting against the external invaders that may cause some infection or diseases to occur. The invader could be mostly likely from living microbes which are the bacteria, parasites, fungi and viruses, to nonliving chemicals, toxins and drugs.

Our bodies has a lot of complicated biological cycles that even our self can’t sometimes understand. Example of this complex is the body’s defense mechanism. However, our body has a lot of external and internal defense, that defends and protects us from a very dangerous invaders. The physical barriers are known as body’s primary line of defense.
Here are nine things that keep you away from harm that you didn’t even notice:
0.    YAWNING
⁃    Yawning helps cool down the brain after being inflamed or overloaded it.
0.    SNEEZING
⁃    Sneezing cleans up our nasal passages through sealing it up with too much microbes, allergens, dust or other irritants. Sneezing is a way of getting rid of the waste in our body.
0.    STRETCHING
⁃    Stretching restores blood, improves our mood and it works with our muscles. We stretch when we do the physical stuffs we usually do.
0.    HICCUPING
⁃    Pneumogastric nerves always react when we swallow big foods, overeat or even eat quickly. This kind of nerves is connected to our diaphragm and stomach.
0.    MYOCLONIC JERKS
  Everyone has experienced this, when someone is sleeping and you start to float off, and your body is pused by something that is like electric shock. When this happens, your muscle spasms is very strong that you might fall in bed, so you wake up immediately.
⁃    This is where, when you fall asleep the rate of your breathing is fast, and at the same time, your pulse is slow and your muscles are relaxing. Your brain tends to save you from death by quickly shocking you and letting you wake up.
0.    WRINKLING OF THE SKIN
⁃    The wrinkles that is in your hands and fingers has a very important role. This happens when your body felt something moist, it recognizes that the environment is slippery. So this helps to hold on smooth surfaces.
0.    LOSS OF MEMORY
⁃    This happens when we had some bad experience. It helps us, because our brain deleted all the bad memories that we don’t want to remember.
0.    GOOSEBUMPS
⁃    Goosebumps helps reduce the amount of heat that our body loses through the pores of our skin. It makes this easier to warm ourselves in some climate change.
0.    TEARS
⁃    Tears has been an instrument of emotional defense. A lot of scientists believe that in traumatic situations, the body creates powerful source of irritation in order to ease the pain that the person is feeling.
These are the reasons why we must be very thankful to our body, it defends us even when we don’t know it.
